Reminder that FAFSA Fill Out Night is December 16th at 6:30 pm in the computer lab. This is an opportunity for seniors and their parent(s) to get their Free Application for Federal Student Aid filed. The FAFSA also opened early this week, so students can begin their FAFSA from home anytime as well. See the attached flyer to get ready to file the FAFSA. If you attend FAFSA Fill Out Night, it will be important for the student and at least one parent to have a FSA ID set up in advance and to bring along the information listed on the flyer. See Mrs. Yackley if you have questions!

Check out this online flipbook "A Junior's Guide to College Prep" to get a good overview of the timeline for junior/senior and things to know about as you decide on your path to post-secondary!

In honor of Veterans Day, South Dakota public schools proudly recognize and support the brave men and women who have served in our armed forces. Their sacrifices and dedication have upheld the values and freedoms we cherish, and we are deeply grateful for their commitment to protecting our nation.
Our schools are committed to instilling respect and appreciation for veterans among our students, helping them understand the importance of service and dedication. We invite our community to join us in expressing heartfelt gratitude and respect for our veterans.
We had a great turnout for our program. Our first grade students shared cookies, coffee, and great conversation with veterans as they arrived today. Thank you to our teachers and students for their work in making our program a success!
Thank you to all our veterans for your service and sacrifice.

This week at EHS

We invite all who are Veterans to join us for coffee and cookies prior to the program on Monday, November 11th at 9:30am.
If you know a veteran who will be attending our program, please be sure to extend the invite for cookies and coffee.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Congratulations to the junior high students who made honor roll for the 1st Quarter!

Region Volleyball!!

The Elkton School District is offering the opportunity for students in grades 7-12 to ride a fan bus to Hayti, SD to cheer on the Elkton-Lake Benton football team as they take on Hamlin in the 9AA semi-final game. The football team has generously sponsored 40 students to attend the game for free.
The fan bus will be chaperoned by two Elkton School District staff members. Any student that rides the bus to Hayti must ride the bus back to Elkton. Once arriving at the game, students are expected to stay in the athletic facility and not leave the game for any reason.
Remember, this is considered an extension of the school day. Students must engage in school-appropriate behavior and speech while riding the fan bus and attending the game. To proactively avoid behavior issues, all boys will ride in the back of the bus and all girls will ride in the front, and then we’ll switch for the ride home. Chaperones will ride in the middle between the two groups.
When: Fri, 11/8/24 - bus will load at 5:15 PM in front of the school
Who: Any student in grades 7-12
Bring: Warm clothing & spending money for concessions (if desired)
Students, sign up in the front office if you’re planning on riding the fan bus this Friday!
