Algebra 2 continued their exploration of real world math and their budget projects today with a presentation by Dave Gatzke and Laurie Johnson from Farm Credit Services of America. They were able to help students better understand balance sheets and the difference between current and non-current assets and liabilities. - Mrs. Rochel

Our students were treated to an amazing show by the Chemistry Club from SMSU in Marshall. Students saw some pretty amazing chemical reactions! We appreciate our PTO for helping make this assembly possible. 🥼🧪⚗️🧑‍🔬

Mrs. Stuefen’s Nutritional Sciences students watched a Netflix baking competition episode called Is It Cake? and an episode of Nailed It. Students then partnered up to compete against each other to create their own cakes.

Dr. Chuck Remund visited Algebra 2 today to discuss how he uses mathematics in his career as well as providing some tips for success. He told the students, “education is everything!”

Please make sure that all negative lunch balances are promptly taken care of. If your student has a negative amount they will not receive seconds on meals or milk. Reminder: if the balance is over -$20 a student will be asked to bring a sack lunch. With the end of the school year approaching, please be sure to view your lunch balance and send money NOW to ensure your student has enough money to cover the remaining days of school. Any positive balances will carry over to the 2024-2025 school year.
