The Elkton-Lake Benton Minecraft team made the schools first-ever appearance at the E-Spots State Tournament last weekend in Aberdeen! They played well, but came up short of placing. Coach Zubke shared, "the team had a great time and are definitely ready to continue and play there next year and to continue scrimmaging against other schools until then." Congratulations to the Minecraft squad and the rest of the Elks E-Sports team on a fantastic inaugural season!

Mrs.Jaack's Child Development 2 class and Mrs. Sorensen's Afternoon Preschool class have been collaborating on a couple different projects to start the 3rd Quarter. Mrs.Jaack's students have created fun and interactive bulletin boards to be featured in the hallway for students to practice a specific skill. The January bulletin board focused on sorting shapes! Mrs. Jaack's students have also been working hard creating children's books! Students presented their books to the Afternoon Preschool class and shared information about weather, the 5 senses, counting, and the ABC's!

Last week, Mrs. Anderson's 3rd grade classes had a zoom call with the Grand Teton National Park Rangers. They learned about how animals adapted to the winter weather in the park. It was a fantastic learning opportunity!
