
A Healthcare Career Event is being hosted by the Hendricks Community Hospital on April 17th. 10th-12th graders interested in attending should contact Mrs. Yackley and sign up before April 3rd (transportation not provided). Students look for more information in your Google Classroom/email.

The Elkton Chapter of National Honor Society hosted the Community Blood Bank at the school on Monday, March 18th. We had a total of 21 units collected, which will help 63 local patients. Thank you to all who donated!!

Please make sure that all negative lunch balances are promptly taken care of. If your student has a negative amount they will not receive seconds on meals or milk. Reminder: if the balance is over -$20 a student will be asked to bring a sack lunch.

There will be a Career Fair at Deubrook High School on March 27th (we would leave school around 12:15 and return to school before 2:15 dismissal). Approximately 20-30 businesses and at least 9 of the SD colleges & technical schools will have representatives present to talk with students about opportunities. Juniors and Seniors are encouraged to attend and must sign up in advance. Please contact Mrs. Yackley to sign up by March 8th.

As stated in a few nominations, “She is a life-long learner and excellent decision maker who keeps up with the research in best practices and is excellent in translating research into practice” and “She puts the needs of all of her students first. has independently worked on her professional development by reading books about specific areas she feels she could use further improvement, like understanding the why to different children's behaviors. She stays connected with the parents of her students consistently, reaching out with updates on their children. Any first grader would be lucky to have her as their teacher.”
