Sergeant Jeremy Gacke with the South Dakota Highway Patrol visited with Algebra 2 students today about how he uses mathematics in crash reconstruction. A reminder to juniors...the deadline to sign up for the June ACT test date is May 3rd! Go to act.org/bts to register.
The next test dates coming up are July 13 and September 14, so I encourage you to look ahead if you have not selected a test date yet. As a reminder, the ACT is the college entrance exam required by most 4-year colleges/universities and is needed for eligibility for certain scholarships. Contact Mrs. Yackley if you have questions!

Tomorrow’s Running Elk Invite in Elkton is CANCELLED. With the amount of rain we have received today with possible more to come yet this evening, our facility is saturated to the point we are not going to be able to host meet.

Algebra 2 continued their exploration of real world math and their budget projects today with a presentation by Dave Gatzke and Laurie Johnson from Farm Credit Services of America. They were able to help students better understand balance sheets and the difference between current and non-current assets and liabilities. - Mrs. Rochel
