Sydney Boersma and Aubrey Schindler were nominated by staff for the DAR Good Citizen Award for Elkton High School this year. Seniors voted on who they felt most exemplified the qualities of a good citizen (Dependability, Service, Leadership, Patriotism). Aubrey was selected as this year's winner for Elkton and will now have a chance to compete for a scholarship from DAR. Congratulations Aubrey!

Reality Check took place this morning for the Elkton and Sioux Valley seniors! Students had a great opportunity to gain information from local organizations about their services and the actual costs associated with "adulting" and budgeting. Special thanks goes out to Katherine Bogue with SD Dept of Labor who helped me get things organized and to the individuals who came and gave their time!
