The bell rang on Wednesday, August 17th for the start of the school year. Students and teachers were eager to get to know one another, share what they did over the summer, and set goals for the upcoming year. We are thankful to our staff for having our building and grounds looking great on day one. A big thank you to our teachers for learning more about their craft during the summer and for creating such welcoming spaces for our students. This school year, families who may qualify for free or reduced-price meals will need to submit a free and reduced-price meal application. Flexibilities that allowed schools to serve universal free meals have now expired. Details: https://www.fns.usda.gov/cn/2022-23-parent-faqs

It was great to see everyone last night. Just a few reminders about elemtnary drop-off and pick-up during the school year: All doors are locked until 8am. Students will be able to be dropped off in the mornings at either A2 or B2. We ask that guests bringing students to school and picking students up at the end of the day do not enter the building. At the end of the day, all students will be picked up at B2. This is the safest procedure for our students and ensures that staff is with all students during dismissal time. Elementary students will NOT use A2 or A3 during dismissal time. Students who are being picked up by a sibling in grades 7-12 will wait in the main hallway until the bell rings and they are picked up by their sibling. We are keeping an eye on the construction by the alley. We will update parents if there are any changes to this procedure due to road construction.

Youth Football 3rd grade-6th Grade All students interested in playing youth FB we will be handing out equipment, Monday August 22nd at 6:30 pm at the Elkton School. Sign up will be in the Lunchroom . The cost is $50 Practices will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00 pm with first practice on Aug. 23rd. Tal Farnham 605-695-7131

The meal prices are as follow: Meal Prices Breakfast - $1.75 K-6 Lunch -$2.80 (Monthly $57.00) 7-12 Lunch - $3.15 (Monthly $63.00) Adult Breakfast - $2.10 Adult Lunch - $4.10 (Monthly $82.00) Extra Entree - $1.15 Extra Milk - $.35 Per the school's policy, once a family hits a negative balance the student will not be able to request a second entree or a second meal. Once a family hits a balance of -$50.00 the student will be offered an alternate meal. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO COMPLETE YOUR FREE AND REDUCED FOR THE UPCOMING SCHOOL YEAR!!

If you are a student entering 7th-12th grade and are interested in being on the football cheer squad this year please get in contact with me.
