We handed our ELK PRIDES for the months of April and May. Staff members are intentionally recognizing students who live out our core values. We talk about these expectations regularly, and this program provides a positive way to reinforce them.
ELK PRIDE stands for:
P – Personal Responsibility
R – Respect
I – Integrity
D – Dedication
E – Empathy
Our goal is to highlight positive behaviors and accomplishments, encourage consistent positive choices, celebrate growth and achievement, and continue building a strong sense of community across our school.
To these students—thank you for being great examples to those around you. To the staff who recognized them—thank you for being intentional about noticing and reinforcing ELK PRIDE, because what we recognize is what we grow. And to our parents and community—thank you for supporting our school and reinforcing these values beyond our walls.

On Friday, our 7-12 students experienced Medic Camp. They rotated through engaging, skill-based activities led by local healthcare professionals and learned about first aid, patient assessment, and the vital teamwork that defines EMS. Through this experience, students gained a deeper understanding of the importance of EMS professions and possibly discovered an interest in pursuing a future in healthcare. Special thanks to the Northeast South Dakota Area Health Education Center, Elkton Ambulance, and local EMS staff and volunteers for partnering with us to provide this opportunity for our students!

Congratulations to our Elkton-Lake Benton golfers who had a great day at the Colman Invite yesterday.
On the boys side, Lane Schindler placed 8th, and Jack Stein took 14th for the Elks!
For the girls, Evie Foss brought home 5th, Malyah Slegers 7th, and Quinn Slegers capped a strong round for the girls team by finishing 9th!
