Kindergarten screening is next Wednesday. If you are out of the district or your child did not attend Elkton Preschool, please call today to set up an appointment time! Elkton Public Schools Kindergarten Screening (for students who will be entering Kindergarten Fall 2023 and have not been in the Elkton Preschool/Jr. Kindergarten program) will be held on April 12th. The screening will take 20 minutes. During this time, the Preschool teacher will do an informal assessment with the student while parents will have an opportunity to meet with the Kindergarten teachers and register their child for Kindergarten. Please call the school, 605-542-2541, to make an appointment for your child's screening. Students who are currently enrolled in the Elkton Preschool/Jr. Kindergarten class do not need to be screened. Parents who live outside of the Elkton School District may apply for open-enrollment for their child when at the screening.
