Congratulations Volleyball on your win in Castlewood last night! Up next, the Elks will take on ORR this Thursday in Elkton. JH will start things off at 4:00, C will follow at 5:00, JV at 6:00, and the Varsity match will begin around 7:15. #elkpride

Elkton-LB student-athletes read the newly created DVC Sportsmanship Creed prior to the football game vs Viborg-Hurley on Friday.

Last Wednesday morning, Elkton HS joined the 9 other schools in the Dakota Valley Conference for our 2nd Leadership Retreat. 80 students-athletes from across our conference worked collaboratively to create a DVC Sportsmanship Code. Along with creating the code, these school leaders spent time discussing topics in breakout sessions with the DVC AD's: 1. Current Issues in High School Sports 2. What Athletes Wish They Coud Say to Coaches and Parents 3. Building Positive Fan Sections 4. Leadership Beyond the Scoreboard 5. Social Media and Sportsmanship What a great morning for some of our student-athletes building relationships and sharing ideas amongst our schools!

Events at EHS for the Week of Sept. 1st

Home Opener for the Elkton-Lake Benton FB team as they welcome the Viborg-Hurley Cougars! 7pm Kickoff. FFA Burger Feed prior to the game.

If you did not purchase a 2025 high school yearbook at Open House and would still like one, additional copies are available in the office for $25.00 each. We also have a limited number of 2025 elementary yearbooks available for $12.00 each.

Cross Country Team will travel to Madison for their 1st Meet of the season! 1pm start time for the meet.

As a reminder.....Seniors who were invited to apply to the Elkton Chapter of National Honor Society must have all application materials turned in to Mrs. Yackley by 3:40 pm on September 2nd. Contact Mrs. Yackley if you have questions!

Along with the Volleyball opener tonight also comes the debut of Elks Live! The free streaming option will air all Elkton-Lake Benton home Volleyball, Football, and Basketball games. Other events and activities throughout the year will also be available on Elks Live. Cross Country season gets underway this week when the Elks head to Madison for the John Collignon Meet. The first race begins Thursday at 1:00 PM. Check out Elkton-Lake Benton's 2025 season schedule below and mark your calendars! #elkpride

As we get ready for volleyball season to kick off, be sure to take a look at this year's schedule. Elkton-Lake Benton will open things up tomorrow night when they host Dell Rapids. Start time for the JV match is 6 PM, with Varsity to follow at 7:15!

Lady Elks Cheer hits the road to Dell Rapids for the St. Mary's Invite. 6pm start time!

JH & JV Football open the season on the road at Howard. JH will begin at 4pm with JV to follow at 5pm!

Elkton-Lake Benton took care of business in Waubay Friday night, defeating the Mustangs by a score of 59-8! Up next, your #1-ranked Elks will host the #4-ranked Cougars from Viborg-Hurley. Kickoff this Friday is set for 7:00pm! #elkpride
