Big announcement! For the first time, the Elkton School District will be fielding an E-Sports team this Winter season! The sport is now entering it's third year as a SDHSAA-sanctioned activity, and we're excited to have 17 Elkton-Lake Benton student-athletes competing for the Elks in this inaugural year. Stay tuned for news and updates throughout the season. #elkpride

Fans and Media: As we enter playoff season, please take note of our schools updated Athletic Event Safety Policy. Approved passes will be required to enter the field area. You must display a school-issued pass or a preapproved official press pass from a recognized media organization. For questions on how to acquire a pass, you may contact the school office.

UPDATE: Due to a calculation error for the 9AA Playoffs, our opponent Thursday night, October 23rd will now be the De Smet Bulldogs. Game time will move to regular 7pm start.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate our band program at the Band Banquet! It was a treat to see so many talented students and supportive community members come together. A special thank you to Charles Remund for his generous donation to our band program. His support will help us purchase a new set of marching drums!

Today, we’d like to shine a little light on our School Counselor, Mrs. Yackley! A self-described “anti-collector,” Mrs. Yackley has a love for music and used to be in Marching Band. Because of that, she’d choose to visit Mrs. Ravenscroft’s room if she was able to attend another teacher’s class for the day. Had she not become a counselor, Professional Dancing may have been another possible career route. We’re glad she landed on her current profession, though. Thank you for all the great things you do for our students and school, Mrs. Yackley!

Elkton PTO and Miss Elkton are hosting Fall Festival again for students K-12 on October 31st. Students in grades K-6 will play games for treats & prizes and grades 7-12 will receive full-size candy bars as a treat. PTO is asking for donations to help defray the costs of the event.
