This morning our homecoming royalty went to Lake Benton Elementary to join their pep rally. The kids cheered loud and made some awesome posters, which we have hung around our school. The 5th grade class remains the reigning champs as they won the victory cheer again this year. Thank you, LBE, for a fun morning filled with Elk pride!

This year, the elementary is planning to recognize staff members with an award called "Pride of the Herd." The goal is to give our amazing teachers and staff an outlet to celebrate each other. It’s a peer-to-peer recognition that shines a light on elementary staff members whose actions make our school stronger, kinder, and better for everyone. This years first honoree is Mrs. Anderson!

Today’s spotlight is shining on our Industrial Tech teacher, Mr. Erickson! He also serves as Athletic Director for the district and is in his 19th year here at Elkton and 24th overall in education. His #1 rule in life is “Control the Controllable - Attitude, Effort, and Energy.” If he was able to choose another profession besides teaching, Mr. Erickson thinks “working” as a professional baseball or golf player would be good gig. When asked what his favorite meal was, he shared that the type of food didn’t really matter, he just enjoys it when the whole family is together at the table. Thank you, Mr. Erickson, for
the many things you do for our students, athletes, staff, and school!
